Long-term outcomes of heart failure cohort (ATTRaCT) and health services analysis

Heart failure is the final common pathway of cardiovascular diseases (CVD). The Asian Network for Translational Research and Cardiovascular Trials (ATTRaCT) is Singapore’s largest Heart Failure cohort which aims to deepen our understanding of the stages of Heart Failure progression through clinical phenotypes, genetic, and molecular studies to enable prevention, diagnostics, and therapeutic approaches. The rich genomic dataset provided by ATTRaCT serves as an important basis for genome-wide association studies, which is a key method to characterise the genomic characteristics of various traits.

Bolstered by rich longitudinal data provided by TRUST, we aim to perform genomic studies for various risk factors and socioeconomic data, which would provide fundamental understanding of the extent of involvement, and molecular contributions, in the context of CVD. In addition, TRUST data would enable epidemiological modelling and characterisation of key determinants of CVD such as known risk factors and other features such as diet, lifestyle, other comorbidities, and socioeconomic indicators. The incorporation of TRUST data thus aims to extend findings on outcomes and associations for hypothesis generation, and feed into health services analysis, which aims to provide fresh insights for the management of a spectrum of CVD in our local South-east Asian context.
