*NEW* - Burden of endometriosis in Singapore

Endometriosis is a chronic condition affecting approximately 1 in 10 women globally during their reproductive years, causing painful periods, heavy bleeding, pelvic pain, and potential fertility issues that significantly reduce quality of life. Early recognition of symptoms is key to timely intervention, yet cultural taboos around menstruation in many Asian societies discourage open discussion and delay medical care. Locally, the endometriosis landscape remains poorly understood.

This study aims to characterise endometriosis in Singapore by examining new and total case rates from 1990–2024, identifying diagnostic patterns, and exploring associated conditions to support earlier detection and improved outcomes.
